Hexoprenaline (INN) is a β2-adrenergic receptor agonist used in the treatment of asthma.Hexoprenaline is also used as a tocolytic agent (i.e. It can suppress labor). Contraindications to its use as a tocolytic agent are cardiovascular disease surgical shock tachycardia diabetes mellitus.
