The Hesketh V1000 is a 992 cc (60.5 cu in) V-twin motorcycle originally designed and built by Hesketh Motorcycles in Daventry Northamptonshire. Although the V1000 had an advanced ohc engine with 4 valves per cylinder sales were poor as the motorcycle proved to be expensive and rather underpowered with a hefty dry weight of 244 kg (538 lb) and meagre 86 bhp output. Only 149 V1000 motorcycles were sold before the company was wound up in August 1982.
