Hercules is a fictional character that appears in publications by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in Journey into Mystery Annual #1 (1965) and was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby.Debuting in the Silver Age of Comic Books the character is based on Heracles of Greek mythology although the name ‘Hercules’ is associated with the version from Roman mythology.
