Henness Pass elevation 6916 ft (2108 m) is a mountain pass on the crest of the Sierra Nevada range in Sierra County California. Like most of the well-known Sierra Nevada passes it lies on the Great Basin Divide with the Middle Yuba River on the west and the Little Truckee River on the east. The pass is traversed by Henness Pass Road which despite being even now an unpaved back road was a heavily used travel route during the Gold Rush era.
