Heera Saraniya (Assamese: হীৰা শৰণীয়া) is the commander of the 709 battalion of ULFA. He is said to be one of the most dreaded militants still active in Assam. He hails from Dighalipaar village under Tamulpur police station in Baksa district of Assam. He joined the outfit in 1990. He is known to be a strict disciplinarian and caring person.
