HD 47536 also known as HR 2447 is a 5th magnitude K-type giant star located approximately 400 light-years away in the constellation of Canis Major. The exact mass of the star is unknown either 1.1 or 3 MS. As of 2007 two planets are known in orbit around the lowest metallicity star.
