HD 173791 (30 G. Telescopium) is a giant star in the constellation Telescopium located about 358 light-years (110 parsecs) from Earth. It has an apparent magnitude of +5.8 allowing it to be viewed with the naked eye under suitable viewing conditions. The stellar classification is G8III which indicates that it has evolved from a main sequence star and has expanded into a giant with three times the Sun’s radius.
