The Haymarket Senators originally joined the Valley Baseball League in the winter of 2005. They replaced the Haymarket Battlecats. The change was brought about when the Haymarket Battlecats ceased and suspended operations and the head coach of the Haymarket Battlecats Mark Keagle created the Haymarket Senators LLC to ensure the continuation of Baseball in Haymarket.
