The Hawaiian language (Hawaiian: ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi) is a Polynesian language that takes its name from Hawaiʻi the largest island in the tropical North Pacific archipelago where it developed. Hawaiian along with English is an official language of the state of Hawaii.
