HaSheket SheNish’ar (Hebrew: השקט שנשאר‎ lit. The Silence that Remains) was the Israeli entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 performed in English and Hebrew by Shiri Maimon. The song was written by Eyal Shahar and Pini Aharonbayev and Ben Green.The Israeli pre-selection took place in Jerusalem in March 2005. Among 14 songs Maimon’s song HaSheket SheNish’ar was chosen by the television viewing audience via televoting combined with 5 juries’ voting.
