The Hanoi Metro will be the first metro rail system in Hanoi and the second in Vietnam. Hanoi’s first metro line is scheduled to be completed in 2016 and will provide transport to 200000 passengers a day.Currently commuters in Hanoi use walking bicycles motorbikes car buses and taxis… to get around. The metro project is part of the Vietnam Ministry of Transport’s master plan which aims to reduce the use of private motorised transport and enhance the urban environment.
