Hangyong High-Speed Railway (Chinese: 杭甬客运专线; pinyin: Háng-Yǒng kèyùn zhuān xiàn) or Hang-Yong Passenger Dedicated Railway) is a railway between Hangzhou and Ningbo. It spans approximately 150 kilometers with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour (220 mph).In the railway’s short name Hang stand for Hangzhou and Yong (甬) is a traditional short name for Ningbo.Early on the railway was scheduled to open in June 2012; later the end of 2012 became the target date.
