Hafiz Akif Saeed(حافظ عاکف سعید) the present Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami is the second son of the renowned religious scholar and the founder of Tanzeem Islami Dr Israr Ahmed.He graduated from Government College Lahore and went on to complete his masters in philosophy with distinction from the University of Punjab in 1980. He was a founding member of Tanzeem-e-Islami. He joined the Quran Academy in 1982.
