Gyula Dobay (November 18 1937 – 2007) was a freestyle swimmer from Hungary who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country starting in 1956. He was born in Szeged. His best individual result came in 1960 when he placed fifth in 100 m freestyle. Four years later he came seventh in 100 m freestyle and placed sixth with the Hungarian 4×100 m medley relay team. At the European Championships he won two bronze medals both in 1958.
