Gutman’s Cave (Latvian: Gūtmaņa ala) is the deepest cave in the Baltic countries[citation needed] located on the Gauja River bank in the National Park of Sigulda Latvia. It started forming before 10 000 years when after the Ice Age the water streams gnawed through a sandstone rock. The oldest tourist attraction in Latvia. On the walls of the cave there are inscriptions from the 17th century. The legend of the Rose of Turaida began in this cave.
