The Green Line is part of the Chicago ‘L’ system and is the only completely elevated route in the ‘L’ system. It utilizes the system’s oldest segments (dating back to 1892) extending 20.695 miles (33.305 km) (check infobox for time lengths) with 30 stops between Forest Park and Oak Park (Harlem/Lake) through Chicago’s Loop to the South Side and West Englewood (Ashland/63rd) and Woodlawn (Cottage Grove/63rd).
