The Grand Nile Tower Hotel built as Le Méridien Cairo is located on Al-Roda Island in Cairo Egypt. The hotel has 714 rooms and includes a shopping mall and a rotating restaurant.It was expanded with the addition of a 41 floor tower in 2002 when it was renamed the Grand Hyatt Cairo. It ceased to be managed by the Hyatt chain on March 20 2011 due to unresolved contractual disputes with the hotel’s owner. It is currently operated as an independent hotel.
