The Goiás gubernatorial election 2010 will be held on October 3 as part of the general elections in Brazil. In this election the 4 million citizens from the state of Goiás eligible to vote will determine the successor to incumbent Governor Alcides Rodrigues from the center-right Progressive Party (PP).Rodrigues is constitutionally forbidden to run once he finished Marconi Perillo’s term as his Vice-Governor in 2006 when Perillo left the office to run for the Senate.
