Giovanni Battista Ciolina (Toceno Verbania May 15 1870 – May 29 1955) was an Italian painter painting mainly landscapes and outdoor country scenes in an impressionist style.He trained along with Carlo Fornaro and Gian Maria Rastellini under Enrico Cavalli at the Scuola Valentini Rossetti in Santa Maria Maggiore in Val Vigezzo. In the late 1880s he received a stipend to attend the Scuola di nudo at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice for two years.
