Giles Gherson is Deputy Minister and Associate Secretary of the Cabinet Policy and Delivery in the Cabinet Office for the Ontario government. Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty announced [1] Mr. Gherson’s appointment effective April 2 2007 on March 8 2007. Mr. Gherson was formerly editor-in-chief [2] of the Toronto Star one of Canada’s major newspapers. Previously he was business editor of The Globe and Mail and editor-in-chief of The Edmonton Journal.
