Gijs van Hoecke (born 12 November 1991) is a Belgian cyclist riding for the Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise team.At the 2012 Summer Olympics he competed in the Men’s team pursuit for the national team. He won the 2012 Men’s Madison World Championships with Kenny De Ketele. Van Hoecke was sent home from the 2012 Olympic Games by the Belgian Olympic Committee for getting drunk after his competition was over.
