Giant Gorg (巨神ゴーグ Kyoshin Gorg) is a 26-episode anime created by Sunrise. Directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko it was broadcast in Japan on TV Tokyo between April 5 1984 and September 27 1984 and tried to compete with Persia the Magic Fairy a magical girl anime created by Studio Pierrot which also aired on the same network.In 2001 Bandai announced that they will start a new sub label called Sunrise Classic Action which Giant Gorg will be part of.
