Diacinto (or Giacinto) Cestoni (May 13 1637 – January 29 1718) was an Italian naturalist.Born in Montegiorgio he was self-taught. He lived and worked at Livorno where he led a pharmacy shop next to the port. He studied fleas and algae and showed that scabies is provoked by Sarcoptes scabiei.
