The Giáy (Vietnamese: người Giáy) are an ethnic group in Vietnam who speak the Bouyei language. Most live in the Lào Cai Hà Giang Lai Châu and Cao Bằng provinces of northern Vietnam. In 1999 the population was 49098.They serve dishes called lạp siềng and lò nùng. They sing vương and phướn. They celebrate the Roóng Poọc festival on the snake day of the first lunar month.
