Gerard Ger Loughnane (born 1953) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Clare senior team.Born in Feakle County Clare Loughnane first excelled at hurling whilst at school in St. Flannan’s College. He made his first impression on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen he joined the Clare minor team before later joining the under-21 team. He made his senior debut during the 1972-73 National Hurling League.
