George Swinton Legaré (1869–1913) was a politician from South Carolina; born in Rockville S.C. Shortly after birth moved to Charleston S.C. At Charleston he graduated from the Porter Military Academy now the exclusive Porter-Gaud School in 1889. He then attended the law department of the University of South Carolina at Columbia for two years; was graduated from Georgetown University Law School Washington D.C. in 1893.
