George Morrone (born October 9 1961 in Maywood New Jersey) is an award-winning American chef restaurateur and cookbook author. Morrone attended the Culinary Institute of America at the urging of his mentor John Kutrovacz. He was the founding chef at the famous Aqua Restaurant in San Francisco and famous chef Michael Mina was his protégé. He has also been chef at San Francisco restaurants Fifth Floor Redwood Park. and Boca Steak & Seafood in Marin County.
