George Joseph Caruana (23 April 1882 – 25 March 1951) was a Maltese Archbishop who served as a papal representative to various countries until his death in 1951.Caruana was born in Sliema Malta on the feast of St George his patron saint on April 23 1882. He attended the college of St Ignatius in Birkirkara and the Capranica College and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
