The Rt Rev George Vincent Gerard MC CBE (24 November 1898 – 14 January 1984) was the 7th Anglican Bishop of Waiapu serving from 1938 to 1944. He was educated at Christ’s College Canterbury and Brasenose College Oxford. After wartime service with the Buffs he was ordained in 1923 and embarked on his ecclesiastical career with a curacy in Timaru. Later he was Vicar of Pahiatua then Petone and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) of St Matthew Auckland.
