George Chip (Lit. Jurgis Čepulionis August 25 1888 – November 8 1960) was the Middleweight Champion of the World from 1913 to 1914. He was born in Scranton Pennsylvania but was raised in New Castle Pennsylvania in what is today the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and most of his matches were in the Pittsburgh area. On 11 October 1913 Chip knocked out Frank Klaus during the sixth round at the championship match at the old Pittsburgh City Hall at Market Square [1].
