George Thomas Breen (born July 19 1935) is an American former competition swimmer four-time Olympic medalist and former world record-holder in three events.Breen was a champion rower for Bishop Timon High School in Buffalo New York and the West Side Rowing Club. He began swimming competitively as a freshman at Cortland State at the age of 17 almost a decade later than most of his rivals.
