General Artemas Ward is a bronze statue by Leonard Crunelle at Ward Circle at the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and Massachusetts Avenues in Northwest Washington D.C.As a part of bequest of George Artemas Ward great grandson of the general to Harvard University the sculpture was funded for $50000. Increases in the cost of bronze made an equestrian memorial un-affordable.It was dedicated on November 3 1938 and authorized by (45 Stat. 689).
