After completing Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden a prequel to Fushigi Yûgi: The Mysterious Play Yû Watase plans on creating Fushigi Yûgi: Byakko Kaiden a sequel to Fushigi Yûgi: The Mysterious Play based on the Byakko Seven. It is planned for 2015. There are no confirm dates on when Yû Watase will start this project and it is still up in the air with no set in stone date.
