The Foley Center Library at Gonzaga University was built in 1992 and named after alumnus Judge Ralph E. Foley who served as a Superior Court judge for 34 years and his wife Helen Higgings Foley. Their son Tom Foley also a Gonzaga graduate served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.The building is 137000 square feet (12700 m2) and is made of 315000 bricks.
