Flutemazepam is a drug which is a 3-hydroxy benzodiazepine derivative and an analogue of temazepam that has hypnotic sedative amnesiac anxiolytic anticonvulsant and skeletal muscle relaxant properties. It is most closely related in structure to temazepam and is indicated for the treatment of severe insomnia. Flutemazepam has properties similar to temazepam and it has been found to be very effective for the treatment of severe states of anxiety panic attacks and severe insomnia.
