Firestone Walker Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Paso Robles Central California and Buellton California. The company was formed in 1996 by Adam Firestone (a son of Brooks Firestone) and his brother-in-law David Walker who had studied brewing at University of California Davis). The beers oaky taste is attributed to the use of 60-gallon (227 liter) oaken casks for fermentation in the early days of production.
