The FilmArtFestival Mecklenburg-Pomerania in Schwerin (German: filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) founded in 1991 – just after the fall of the wall – is today one of East Germany’s largest film festivals with more than 17000 visitors. It has a competition for feature film documentary film and short film to be produced or co-produced in Germany Austria or Switzerland.
