The Fellowship Party was the oldest environmentalist political party in England. It opposed nuclear power and all weapons. Its national petition against nuclear weapons tests led to the forming of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.The party was founded in June 1955 following an independent anti-H Bomb candidature by John Loverseed a former Common Wealth Party MP.
