Fetal and adult testis-expressed transcript protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FATE1 gene. It is testis-specific in the fetus (aged 6 – 11 weeks). In adults it is expressed predominantly in the testis with some expression in the lungs heart kidneys adrenal gland and throughout the brain.[citation needed]
