Für zwei Groschen Musik (Twopenny Music) was the German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1958 performed in German by Margot Hielscher.The song was performed eighth on the night (following Belgium’s Fud Leclerc with Ma petite chatte and preceding Austria’s Liane Augustin with Die ganze Welt braucht Liebe). At the close of voting it had received 5 points placing 7th in a field of 10.The song is in the chanson mode popular at the early Contests and is in praise of music itself.
