Expedition 40 is scheduled to be the 40th expedition to the International Space Station. The Expedition 39/40 crew launched on March 25 2014 from Baikonour Cosmodrome. Although it was intended to use a 6 hour fast track trajectory to get to the station a minor malfunction in the Soyuz spacecraft’s attitude system caused a two-day delay in orbital rendezvous. After two orbital correction burns the crew rendezvouzed with the station on March 28 2014.
