Ernest ‘Ern’ Utting (born 31 October 1897) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood and Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He was also commonly referred to as Tich Utting.Utting started his league career with Collingwood but struggled to get game time in what was a strong side although he managed to top their goalkicking in 1920 with 23 goals. After three seasons he left the club and spent 1923 with Preston whom he played for prior to joining Collingwood.
