Elizabeth Clare Simmonds (born 22 January 1991 in Beverley East Riding of Yorkshire England) is a British backstroke swimmer.Simmonds represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 100 m and 200 m backstroke swimming events.She went to school in Lincoln and attended Vulcans Swimming Club later spending time at Loughborough University.
