The Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ) is an independent statutory authority which was established to impartially organise Queensland elections at both the Parliamentary and local government levels. The Commission’s offices are located in Mary Street Brisbane. The body was established in 1992.According to the Electoral Act 1992 the Commission consists of a chairperson electoral commissioner and one other commissioner.
