Edward Mortimer CMG (born 22 December 1943 in Burford Oxfordshire) was until January 2007 the Director of Communications in the Executive Office of the United Nations Secretary-General. He is an author journalist and fellow of All Souls College Oxford. Mortimer is now Senior Vice President of The Salzburg Global Seminar and is a member of the Advisory Council of Independent Diplomat. He serves as an Advisory Board member for the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation.
