Edward C. Shannon (June 24 1870 – May 20 1946) was the 15th Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania from 1931 to 1935. Shannon grew up in Columbia Pennsylvania. A career military officer he was commander of Twenty-Eighth Division of the 111th Infantry during World War I. He later rose to become a major general in the Pennsylvania National Guard. In 1934 Shannon unsuccessfully fought the Republican nomination for governor.
