Dyirbal /ˈdʒɜrbəl/ (also Djirubal) is an Australian Aboriginal language spoken in northeast Queensland by about 5 speakers of the Dyirbal tribe.[citation needed] It is a member of the small Dyirbalic branch of the Pama–Nyungan family.
