Doxycycline (IPA: /ˌdɒksiˈsaɪklin/) is an antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of infections. It is in the tetracycline antibiotic class.Under the brand name Vibramycin Pfizer’s doxycycline product received US Food and Drug Administration approval in 1967.
