Doxorubicin /ˌdɒksəˈruːbəsɪn/ (INN AAN BAN USAN; trade name Adriamycin; liposome-encapsulated trade name Doxil) also known as hydroxydaunorubicin is a drug used in cancer chemotherapy and derived by chemical semisynthesis from a bacterial species.
