Douglas Doug John Mudgway is a former wrestler from New Zealand.In the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland Doug won a gold medal for wrestling. It was New Zealand’s first ever wrestling gold medal at the British Empire Games (now Commonwealth Games). Doug wrestled in the bantam weight (57 kg) division.Doug started wrestling at an early age and won several NZ titles.
